Because of God's Grace, He sent His only Son Jesus to earth to be the Savior of the world. The greatest gift you will ever receive is eternal life though Jesus. Jesus paid the price for the sin of the world through his death on the cross. He removes our sin as far as the east is from the west! You can receive this grace of God and start today as the first day of the rest your life on this earth knowing you have been saved from sin. Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life! Because of Jesus and not by your works, you can have a place in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

So, Jesus again said to them, truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Follow these steps to become a disciple for Jesus

1. Pray - Praying and reaching out to God is so good. Let go and let God! He hears you and loves you.

2. Read the Bible - Let the living Word of God speak to you and guide you.

3. Get plugged in with fellow believers - There are many great churches and ministries where you can gather together as the Body of Christ for praise and worship. Go and Jesus will be in your midst.

In the book of John chapter 1, John the Baptist offers proof that Jesus is indeed the Messiah, the one who comes to save. John recounts the Spirit coming down and remaining on Jesus after he was baptized. This fulfills what God said would happen. Jesus is the son of God. Not only will he take away the sins of the world, one day Christ will defeat all evil, claiming final victory as he establishes the new heaven and earth. For the salvation Christ offers and for the final victory yet to come, we say thanks be to God!

Prayer:

Lord God, today we are reminded of such great news. You came in the flesh to take away our sins, to rescue us from captivity to self. One day you will come again to banish all evil as you create heaven here on earth. Day by day, lead and guide us to make this vision more and more of a reality here and now as we await your final return in victory. Amen.

We need to know His voice. We study His voice in the Bible and we learn to recognize it when the Spirit nudges and whispers to us. We come to be able to differentiate Jesus’ voice from the many voices of the world. These other voices are voices we should run from. Once we come to know Jesus’ voice, He wants us to follow. He will lead us well. For our part this means doing what Jesus did and loving as Jesus loved.

Prayer:

May we know the Good Shepherd’s voice, and may we follow where He leads. Amen.
